This project has taken me 7 years from its creative inception to get to the place of this launch! I have lived with their voices in my head (woof) and developed these characters and their story links, and songs, all while loosing plenty of sleep.
****It took 2 years to find Kimberly Cranfield the Illustrator you are enjoying! She understood my imagination immediately and because she is also a DOG LOVER she passionately began to draw these characters with soulful eyes and expression. My drive comes for all of you every day, DOG LOVERS. I love to read your Facebook posts and enjoy the passion we share. But, mostly, I hope this series inspires the next generations to care for animals and instill compassion for animals and humankind.
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING of what the public sees, however 9 more books are in the writing stages as I blog. So stayed tuned and enjoy the doggie voices, and one cat who has been talking in my head all of these years. Rico Thomas and I are in the studio next week to record "Bone To Pick" a song that will be released with book 3. Stefanie Delio my editor is going through book 3 "Little Dogs Gone Wild," right now as well, and we are all working this evening with Dottie Rager my publicist. WHEW! it is worth it. My love for dogs is larger than life. They are my fur kids. Every dog deserves a homes and a home deserves a dog.
